Stella is an incredible character who just so happens to be on the Autism spectrum (as is the author). It’s an important part of her identity, but it’s not her entire identity. There’s a quote towards the end that I thought put it so beautifully: “She wasn't broken. She saw and interacted with the world in a different way, but that was her…At her core, she would always be autistic. People called it a disorder, but it didn't feel like one. To her, it was simply the way she was.” And that statement is completely supported by the way she comes across on the page—a complicated, fully-realized, perfectly imperfect character.
The two of them together make for a love story that is the perfect combination of sweet and steamy (if you like steam, that is…because there is A LOT 🔥🔥🔥). I can’t wait to read THE BRIDE TEST next!
