The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang is a great quick read that's very easy to get into. Hoang makes Stella's character incredibly endearing, and you really root for her in her quest to find true love. While the romance story between Stella and Michael often felt a bit predictable, I enjoyed reading and found the story to be a bit more authentic than other romance novels. However, I still felt that some of the story was far too unrealistic, like the time when Michael walks by right as Phillip is aggressively trying to kiss Stella. I know coincidences and predictability are inevitably a part of the romance genre, but I wish Hoang had found a way to make things feel a bit more realistic. I also found it hard to believe that Michael didn't think he was intelligent enough to be with Stella, even though he himself was a high school valedictorian. Overall, The Kiss Quotient was an enjoyable romance read and I would read another Helen Hoang book.
