This story centers around Stella and Michael and is told in dual points of view. Stella is an econometrician, and a very good one at that. She also happens to be on the Autism Spectrum (falling more towards the Asperger's end). The things she struggles with include an aversion to touch, and communicating with others.

After pressure from her mother for grandchildren and a comment from coworker, Stella hires an escort to teach her how to be good at sex and relationships.

Michael is the escort Stella hires. He has his own struggles, which we slowly learn throughout the book. He is only an escort to help pay the never ending stack of bills.

The arrangement moves from just learning about sex, to Michael becoming Stella's practice boyfriend. Throughout their "relationship" both Stella and Michael learn more about each other and themselves.

Both of these characters were wonderful. Stella, though diagnosed on the Spectrum, feels incredibly relatable as she navigates adulthood insecurities. Michael is the practice boyfriend every girl wants. He is attentive and caring, and also incredibly attractive. Their character growth - both together and individual - was great to see.

I could not put down this book. Ultimately staying up way too late to finish it. I have been loving finding books within the romance genre, and this one is great. This is a wonderful debut from the author and I look forward to reading many more.

(Just a note, this book features more descriptive intimate scenes. They are not gratuitous, and fit right into the story.)
