Exciting storytelling and extremely entertaining!
I'm always excited to read debut fantasy because there's not more exciting to me than checking out a new voice. I'm happy to report that Nick Martell seems like yet another promising voice and I really had a great time reading The Kingdom of Liars!
The Kingdom of Liars does not have the most fast-paced or engaging beginning, but I stuck with it because I was curious enough to keep going, and I'm so glad I did! The characters really develop over the course of the novel and I had such a great time following them on this epic journey. There are so many different themes explored in this fantasy, along with some really great political intrigue that was a little tricky to follow at times, but was still fun in the end. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it to any fantasy fan!
