I am not sure if this would be a story i can get into. I am very particular when it comes to my fantasy novels and stories. I do not like when "modern" or "non fantasy" elements enter a plot, like guns. I like my fantasy to have swords and magic and the customary elements and not to be tainted by other such elements. Also I like the uniqueness of magic costing memory but that may or may not hurt the plot. That IMO is a strange cost. Who would really want to lose memory every time they cast a spell. I guess i will see if i get a chance to read this novel.
