Michael Kingman is left with a broken kingdom after father's execution, in chains before a jury is sent to treason on the highest degree, a worthless metal ring that his father had given him and the desire to revive his bleak legacy. Great plot and writing. It is so poetic and beautiful my favorite line from the opening chapter while he's awaiting his death is " I shut my eyes and waited to feel the sun's warmth again, knowing full well it would mean my death" This gave me the chills. Exciting and dynamic plot. The cover is dark and mystical really cool art. I want to read the book more because I love the writing style, dynamic plot, and the exciting thrill/ mystery allure of this novel. It's a novel that makes me think, " What next?!?" This is the type of book I usually pick up and take home from the library and get lost in for a couple of days and that's all I want to do is read this book.
