I didn't love the sound of the synopsis, as I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi and fantasy. However, I was pleasantly surprised by what I read. It was intriguing and I think I would actually enjoy this book. It started off with an event that really captured my interest and kept hold of me throughout the excerpt.
