I find myself not quite sure how to start talking about Kingdom of Liars. The setting seems quite interesting with its broken moon and memory draining magic, and I'm left curious about that. But then the protagonist feels so flatly full of himself? Something about how he talks about himself, his situation, and other people just sits wrong for me. Things like refusing to talk at his own trial in the prologue, not because he's guilty mind, but because they wouldn't believe him anyway so he won't lower himself to even try. It's a special brand of frustrating and I'm left hoping that the other characters are more personable.
