Interesting with a touch of cliche
I had to try this since Brandon Sanderson recommenced it, how could I not? It feels like a fairly good beginning to an interesting fantasy novel. I don’t exactly like first person point of view for fantasy books, so I think I’d need to read more of the story to get comfortable with the narrative. But I can already tell there’s going to be humor. The part about the knee was pretty funny!
Even though having two moons in a fantasy world is strange and fantastical, it’s entirely cliche, so I don’t actually like it too much. But I am intrigued with moon-falls and how this affects the world. The story does sound really interesting, so I’d be interested to read the rest of the novel and see how everything pans out.
