I don’t usually read a lot of fantasy books, but the synopsis caught my interest. The idea of trading ones memories for magical powers is a new one to me; I haven’t read any other books or seen any movies with that yet. The first look made me wonder why the ring, book and scarf the dad left his children are important, and I already like the main character enough to hope he makes it to the sequel!!
