When I first read the words "shot down by the moon", I thought it was a figure of speech. I was delighted to find out that in fact somehow, Hollow had managed to actually shatter the moon and now the whole place is in danger of the falling pieces that flame into the atmosphere like meteorites. I already feel invested and I think that's due in part to the fact that the story is told from Michael's point of view. We all know that magic comes with a price and this time, the price is your memories. I can't wait to find out more about the truth Michael knows that the now-dead king wanted so badly for the people to forget. To top it off, this cover is striking! The glowing shards of the moon seem to pull you in.
