Let me just say that I was very interested in this book when I read the firstlook. The cover is amazing and the plot sounded cool and stuff. It sounded like a pretty interesting fantasy. In fact, the writing was a charm to me I really liked the writing style of the author. It's clear, concise, and it was easy for me to want to keep reading because I liked it so much.

The problems came when I started actually finding out about the main character, who I really disliked, but I feel like I was supposed to really like. I feel like she's apart of that 'strong female protagonist' trope. When in reality she's just a moody lady. I DNFd this because I just found the protagonist very unbearable and unrealistic. I more than anyone want an actually strong female protagonist that isn't really mean and cruel as a default. I want authors to start realizing that strong isn't a personality trait it's something that people do in their everyday.
