This was different than what I have read before. I liked the creatures and that there was a listing in the back of the book of a lot of the different creatures that the main character could possibly bond with. I liked how she met her love interest and the way that she integrated into their group. It had lots of adventure and fun banter between the characters. I am excited to see where the next book in the series goes. After what happened at the end of this book we will get to see more of where the main character came from and possibly get to learn even more about how she grew up and her people and society. I definitely want to learn more about her culture and all of the creatures. I am hoping we get to see more creatures too. There were a lot of them that we still haven't encountered yet. Honestly, I think the creatures are my favorite part. Especially that they each have their own powers.
