Kingdom of Exiles was an absorbing romance/fantasy novel that hooked me from page one! It follows an exiled beast charmer and the assassin magic-bound to kill her as they strike a precarious bargain and go on a journey. I immediately liked the main characters: Leena, with her spunk and wits, and her romantic interest, Noc, who is a deadly and compelling mystery. The world they inhabit is equally interesting and unique, and I found the world-building to be pretty good. Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I am looking forward to reading the sequel and finding out what comes next for these characters!
