First off I want to thank Bookish First and Sourcebooks Casablanca for giving me an advance copy of this book.
The book starts off with main character Leena Edenfrell. She is selling her beasts to make a profit. What she is doesn't know is her life is about to change. We met the leader of the Assassin's Guild Noc who Leena makes a deal to keep her life. The writing is beautiful. Every setting and magical creature fells like it could leap from the page and join our world. They are magical and special in their own right. The characters have a great chemistry together. The banter and wit of the side characters makes me want to see them be the focus of a book.
Overall I will love to see the next adventure in this world. I can't wait to see what book 2 will bring.
