This novel didn’t grab my attention right away...

I love watching high fantasy television shows and movies, but for some reason I have a hard time getting into high fantasy books. If I am going to delve into this particular genre then it has grab my attention right away and keep me hooked—otherwise I will just wander back to the genres I’m more comfortable and engaged with. Although the plot seems interesting, this novel didn’t grab me right away. The cover is definitely colorful, but not entirely unique or original.
