A slow burn to being completely captivated!

In the beginning there was a lot of mystery and intrigue as you wondered why Leena was being targeted and why someone wanted to kill her. All that was a complete mystery and still is. The more I got into it I wondered WHY, what did she do to get herself exiled and nearly killed? The more I read the more questions came into my mind wondering how this was all going to play out. I could see how Leena and Noc could very well end up loving each other and then having their own dark secrets threaten to rip that apart. I also appreciate how the author humanizes both the good and the evil, making you like them both. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest and seeing how this all plays out!
