I really enjoyed this excerpt of Kingdom of Exiles, which wasn't on my radar at all. I liked that the book immersed you in Leena's world immediately, and showed rather than told. In a short amount of time, I learned a lot about her backstory and the beasts. Noc's side of the story is equally interesting, and I'm intrigued by his curse. I'm definitely curious to read the rest! The cover is nice, but not one that would inspire me to pick it up in a bookstore.
