In this novel, we were introduced to Keynan, who is a writer at heart. When he was able to realize that something magical happened with his words, we got to see a whole thing occur. Keynan is led to this magical world that he was able to become apart of when he chooses to accept his destiny. In this story, the author does well by giving us a well-rounded character who has control over the world around him. It was a unique experience to see black kids and magic. It was a beautiful thing to be seen, and the interactions between each other were great as well. I almost felt part of this little group that they formed. I can’t wait to see where this story goes from here and hopefully it’s made into a series. I definitely will be needing a live action version of this show as well. It was too good of a story and I hope everyone here takes a moment to read it as well.
