i loved it!
This book was so much pleasure to read! The world the author built is complicated, and the magic system is unique. There was clearly more to storms than was initially mentioned, as the description of them was so fascinating.
It was such a wonderful notion to use creativity and the arts to mend corrupt magic! I thought it was great how the story made use of Keynan's poetry. It was original, seamlessly integrated into the story, and a lot of fun! The story contained a plethora of inspirational lessons, such as the negative effects of greed and selfishness, the value of courage and self-belief, and the strength of friendship and community.
The book's strong sense of community and the way people pulled together to reconstruct things damaged by storms was something I really enjoyed. I particularly admired Keynan's enthusiasm for utilizing his gifts and imagination to benefit others. It was also wonderful to watch him develop as a person, understanding that he doesn't have to handle everything himself and that it's acceptable to ask for assistance from people who genuinely care about him.
