Seems appropriate for middle schoolers

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book aimed at this age-group. The “lingo” seems like it’s trying a bit hard, but overall I think it would be an easy read. The fantasy topic seems like something that would capture a tween reader. I think kids would enjoy this.
