This has similar vibes to Amari and the Night Brothers and Nic Blake and the Remarkables. Keynan Masters is on the brink of a new adventure. He has been invited to join the Peerless Academy which would help him hone his skills and become an even better writer. His parents would love for him to go. However, he thinks he's doing just fine at this virtual school and doesn't want to leave for a "what if" type of dream.
I'm interested to read more! The world building in this one was kind of slow, so I'm not fully sure what role the storms play. There seems to be some great magical elements and interesting world systems, but not much was revealed even in the preview. There is clearly some heavy fantasy/magic that I would love to see fully fleshed out.
