Excerpt Didn't Reveal Anything That Interested Me

The cover is cute and colorful, which is probably what would attract middle grade readers. I didn't quite get the excerpt since it seemed totally different from the description. Perhaps it get's exciting further down the road. But what was presented thus far was a little boring. Just wondering what will happen to Keynan at Peerless Academy.
