I really enjoyed this one. It gave off so many warm feelings. It is very character driven, rather than plot driven, as not really much happens, plot-wise. However, I fell in love with these characters! I was so engaged and interested in what was going to happen to them, and how their story was going to go.
I will say that the end felt a bit rushed. It felt that the author almost forgot about some of the story lines, and felt pressured to wrap them up neatly. Also, the two romantic stories sort of felt forced into the story, and I would have been a little more interested in reading about women working and thriving on their own.
Overall, I did really enjoy reading this book, and I've already recommended it to others. If you love character driven stories, especially ones set in the South, along the lines of Steel Magnolias, or Sweet Magnolias, then this one will fit in well with other stories that you've enjoyed.
