This book is absolutely everything i wanted it to be! Quickly became enthralled in the characters and could relate to them also because i live in a small Georgia Town. This book dealt with all the ugly and pretty things when it comes to grief in the best way possible kudos to Sharina for being so blunt but not crude in dealing with hard family things! I loved every single piece of judges girls and highly recommend that EVERYONE reads this!

This amazing eye opening book opens with the death of Joe Donaldson an admired Georgia Judge. His daughter, Maya, is dealing her own grief and return to life when she is read the will of her father, the beloved Joe. His last wishes include allowing Jeanie, Joe’s wife, and Ryder, Jeanie’s daughter from a previous relationship, to live in the Donaldson home, which now belongs to Maya, until Jeanie desires to leave.
This story is a good example of how people can ultimately want the same things, but because of perspective and grudges being held the family cannot get along until they deal with all the hard and heavy things many families find theirselves also facing in such trying times.
