This fabulous book let’s us get to know three very different ladies, thrown together when the patriarch of their family passes away. A stepmother, a stepdaughter, and a daughter are all grieving for their husband and father. What should be an event that puts them together instead draws them apart. Their differences become bigger than what they had been in that buffer of the patriarch is no longer there to help them get along. The story looks at the relationships between women, and tackles bigger topics like alcoholism. I loved getting into this book and getting to know the characters and how their differences really brought them together in the end. This book really had a little something for everyone, and I could just see it appealing to all audiences. The cover art was phenomenal, showing the different races of women brought together in a family. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a feel-good novel where everyone is happy in the end.
