So Good!
I thought this was going to be a quick and easy chick lit book. It is so much more. It went much deeper and tackled issues like alcoholism and racism.
The book is about three women dealing with the loss of their husband and father/stepfather. Each woman, obviously deals with it differently. And learns to let the others mourn in their way. By the end of the book each woman has grown individually but also as a family.
The characters in this book were so real, it was easy to quickly fall in love with them. It was easy to root for them and get annoyed when they were doing things that would set them back. Each woman was so different but really just wanted to find their way after losing the judge, who seemed to be their compass.
Don’t let the cover or the title mislead you, this not a light and fluffy chick lit book nor does it have much to do about the Judge. This book is about real women, their issues and how we need to work together to lift other women up to their best selves.
