This is not my type of read, but there was a lot to it that I think others who like this genre more than myself would enjoy. Although there's still a lot of book to be read, I found the characters likable and I wouldn't mind going on the journey with them. I think the author managed to inject some humor into the opening scene (a funeral) while still getting to a real emotional core that our main characters are experiencing. I have to say, I don't always mention the cover in my first impression, but...I really hate this cover. Really really hate it. To me it doesn't at all match the writing, I know they say not to judge a book by its cover, but from this cover I expected the writing to be a lot worse to be honest. To me it looks like someone just threw it together quickly. But the writing I enjoyed!
