I found it hard to get into this first look because the way the narrator speaks doesn't align with her age. She didn't speak like someone who was 27 years old, but rather like a kid. The opening was just too much hoopla for me to get into. Too much spectacle. I wouldn't read the book to find out more. I think the cover is cute and simple.
