I liked Maya from the start. To me she came off as a no BS kind of girl (which sounds like she needs it based on her job!). She's got the reading of her father's will along with what I'm assuming is her step mother, Jeanie. While most of the will seemed your average stuff, her father left Maya the house, but Jeanie was allowed to stay in it as long as she wanted.
This seems like its going to be a great character driven book about family, relationships and finding common ground. The cover hints at that as you have two different hands, in two different colors holding flowers in two different directions. Those are all going to have to come together, and hold the flowers in the right way. The question is, which way will it be?. I think its going to be a great read!
