The story of love and loss is all too familiar, especially a semi young woman & relevantly strong woman experiencing losing her father, but what makes this story interesting from the start is to be able to see the POV of each woman experiencing the same loss of this prominent man. I enjoyed reading about Maya’s confidence and how she guides her stepsister Ryder, who may not be her blood, but is her family. I like the strain between Maya and Jeanie, her stepmother. One way or another, I will read this book!
