Judge's Girls is definitely impressive from the start. Maya is a strong character who is working her way to become a partner at her law firm, Ryder is a teen just trying to make it through school without everyone knowing that her mother is falling apart after her step father's death. Jeanie is drinking her sorrows away because she simply can't deal with losing her husband. All three of the characters are very well written and clearly separated so that each character is easy to identify with. I am already really into this book and can't wait to read more of Judge's Girls.
