Judging from the first section of this book, Sharina Harris is amazingly skilled at writing characters that grab the reader from their first introduction and elicit immediate interest and even loyalty. I'm already invested in Maya's plotlines. I do think the cover doesn't quite fit this novel and suggests something a bit softer/fluffier than what we're probably going to get.
