Strong and Insightful Stories

Inside Harare Alcatraz and Other Short Stories by Andrew Chatora was a beautifully-written set of short stories. It is not something I would typically read, but I read it, and quite honestly, I loved it. The stories focus mainly on different parts of cultures, and all centrally base around racism and misogyny. These stories go into many different topics that many would be afraid to go through. With every story I read, I felt like I was learning more about a topic I hadn't read much of before. These stories challenge diverse ideals of many people who have and will read this collection. The writing style flows easily, making for something I would want to know more and more about. I believe this is something many people should read, as it shows what others are going through, and may challenge your beliefs. However, these are complex stories that I wouldn't recommend to everyone.
