This was a unique and very well written story. I enjoyed the character development and world building. The main character was very relatable, and you could feel how much she grew and learned by the end of the story. You could sense her emotions, and the way her interactions with the other characters were written made her feel real.
It was hard to tell the direction of the story or how it was going to conclude (not necessarily a bad thing), and it took a dark turn that I didn't expect. The uneven pacing and unanswered questions were big hurdles for me, resulting in my three star (which otherwise would have been four star) rating. I felt the plot could have been wrapped up a little tighter.
