It is obvious after reading the first few pages of this book that it tells a powerful story. I am ashamed that I know very little about the oppression of the Romanian people by Ceasescu. For an entire country to live in fear is unconscionable and heartbreaking. Young people are forced to betray their family and friends for minor fractions and to avoid sending their entire families to hell on earth. This is the story of one. His story is one that will leave me in tears, I know. I can’t wait to read more
