I will have dreams tonight. This first look is one of the most upsetting things I have read in years, but it is also one of the most compelling stories that I have been introduced to. Can we, as Americans, fathom life in Romainia in the late 1980's? Can we learn from this story the fear of our country's current state? Like "Night", the story of concentration camp survival, this story of Cristian and his forced spying on his friends and family, will live in out memory as a cautionary tale of human rights, survival, and fighting for what is good and fair. I can't wait to read the rest of this amazing story.
