This book is right up my alley. I love reading historical fiction but it is hard to find REAL historical fiction. One that is not a romance with a few historical things, often inaccurate, thrown in. I Will Betray You is a very interesting book about Romania in the late '80s. I remember when this was happening in Romania at the time; I remember that we didn't really know or understand what was going on but we knew it was bad and the people were suffering. In just the First Impression it is quite obvious that the author has spent a lot of time, and heart, studying the subject. The book is well written and easily draws the reader in. i can't wait to read the rest of the book!
