This is about a period and time that the majority of us haven’t heard of or even ventured to read about. Romania in 1989 is a country we pay little attention to but the stories need to be told.
Even though this is a work of historical fiction it is based on the realities of what the Romanian people felt and dealt with in 1989. This book literally grabs you the minute you pick it up and you want more. I can’t imagine what it must have been like to be able to trust no one, not even family. To be able to read a story that must be so full of heartbreak but I truly believe in the end this story has to end on a positive makes me want to read it even more. I am a historical fiction buff and this book is of an era that I’ve never read but know it’s a definite MUST read for me!
