When I first saw the title I was instantly intrigued. I have often found myself enjoying historical fiction but I have never read any thing about this time, as the author stated, this is a very little known and talked about time in history. The fact that it is told by a kid is even more intriguing because in this book you see he has a normal life full of friendship and crushes but also has to deal with a communist country. The title fits well with the story and is a hooking title. Cristians interest in writing is a nice aspect of it all because he uses his words to talk about what is happening to him and this just adds to the suspense that could be, what would happen if someone found this? I cannot wait to read more of this story!
