Sepetys is one of my favorite historical fiction author ever! I have read Salt to the Sea and Shades of Gray and loved both of them. The color and title of the this book was what caught my eyes, before the author’s name did. I think certain little elements on the cover speaks a lot about what the book is about, for example the flag, the building, and the color of the cover sort of gives away a “vintage” vibe.
