I was thrilled to see Ruta’s new book as a first impression. I adore the cover and was excited by the blurb as I was a teenager during that time but don’t know of the history. Like Fountains of Silence, this appears to trend toward the mystery end of the historical fiction spectrum. Like all of Ruta’s writing, it quickly engages you in the story.
