There's a sharp, piercing rhythm to Ruta Sepetys's writing that matches the tense subject matter. In 1989 Romania, Cristian Florescu is a teenage boy who is blackmailed into being an informer, shedding light on a historical events that I hadn't been aware of. I really enjoyed the pace of the book and am so curious about what will happen to Cristian. The cover does a great job of conveying what the book is about!
