This book draws you in from page one. The main character is likable and engaging. He has a love for his family, and isn’t afraid to go against the grain to ensure his individuality. Living during a scary time of history, you can feel the tension and heaviness within the first pages as the characters try and navigate their everyday lives. The cover is beautiful with the colors of the flag as the main focus. I can’t wait to finish reading this novel!
