Sepetys hooks you in immediately and the historical fiction thriller aspect really shines through. What choice would you make when faced with betraying your friends and family or be forced to come up with a plan to undermine a hellish dictator? I have a feeling I know which way Cristian will go, which makes this book all the more exciting!
