Another astounding historical fiction title from Sepetys

I am not generally a historical fiction reader, but Ruta Sepetys is unique among authors in that she can get me to read books I would not pick up if they were written by anyone else. I love that she is willing to tackle perspectives and parts of history that are often overlooked in historical fiction, and I Must Betray You is no different, giving us a unique look at Romania under communist rule. She sets the mood right away, one of gloom, and fear, and utter hopelessness. I can't wait to continue the story and see how the main character rises above these bleak circumstances.
