I really want to give this book 3.5 stars. I was really excited to read this book because the cover alone had hooked but overall the book kind didn't live up to the hype. I was kind of hoping for more of a time loop book where Alice would have a couple of chances to solve the murder but this whole book takes places over the course of a few hours on Halloween night.

While I really loved the twists and turns of this book of regarding who the murder was I was hoping for more character development overall. I especially wanted more backstory for Wes and the Owen since they seemed to both be Alice's number one suspects.

I liked the addition of the Final Girl aka an angel since she was kind of helping Alice along but towards the end I wasn't really sure what the purpose of this character was.

I felt like the ending was extremely abrupt and the emphasis on solving the murder by midnight was only highlighted in the finally 100 pages while timeline was never really important during the rest of the book.

Overall this book was good and kept me guessing towards the end.
