I cannot say enough good things about How to Survive Your Murder by Danielle Valentine. This book was just so much fun! She had me at all the funny cultural references especially the one that mentions the great British baking show. I mean come on! Alice Lawerence is not your typical teenager nor is she like most girls when it comes to one thing horror. Alice and her tight circle of friends cannot get enough. They all live and die *pun intended* for the latest and greatest horror flick.
Until Alice finds herself in the middle of a true horror of her own. One that has more twists and turns than the latest Scream movie. I don’t want to get into too many details because that would ruin the entire plot. I had very high hopes that some of her friend group would meet a bad ending so to speak. They were all so pompous and really didn’t support Alice at all. The major twist oh my gosh. I did not see it coming! She played it well. It was very cleaver. I just had one more thing to say… Why Wes! He didn’t deserve it!
