I received this book through the Bookish First giveaway. This was an okay YA slasher themed, Final Girl thriller. It is about Alice who sees her older sister Claire get killed and is then asked to testify as the only witness. She is then sent back one year to that Halloween night to figure out what really happened and she if she can save her sister this time.
It was an interesting concept of a Final Girl/slasher film themed book and how Alice uses her knowledge of slasher films to navigate that Halloween night. I love thrillers and I love horror films and I thought i would really like this book but it just didn't click with me. I found the plot and the conclusion unsatisfying and weird. Certain parts, I believe, were not explained out to well and how the first Halloween night played out and what happened at the time. I liked it but i was not blown away by it. I might check out her other books.
