I absolutely did not expect to be so blown away by this book! It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and I did not see the ending coming. The ending is *very* slasher-worthy and is written in such a way that I would not be surprised if we saw these characters again in another book.
I would say this is a solid mix of Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Happy Death Day. There is a lot of 90's slasher nostalgia and I am here for it.
If I'm being 100% honest, I've felt kind of burnt out by the whole "final girl" concept lately, it feels like there have been SO many of those books in the past couple years, and although this had a final girl element to it, I wasn't bothered at all by that theme.
